Alex Veen

Dr Alex Veen is a Senior Lecturer and DECRA Fellow at the University of Sydney Business School's Discipline of Work and Organisational Studies. He co-directs the Sydney Employment Relations Research Group (SERRG). His research focuses on the future of work, gig economy dynamics, algorithmic management, and industrial relations policy. Veen holds a prestigious Australian Research Council DECRA Fellowship (2021) for his work on algorithmic management and gig economy implications. His teaching includes courses on international human resource management and industrial relations practice.

Key research areas include platform work regulation, migration-related labor challenges, and the intersection of technology with employment structures.
