Alex Van Breedam

Alex Van Breedam is a part-time Visiting Professor at the Catholic University of Leuven (KU Leuven). He holds a PhD in Applied Economic Sciences (1994) and a Master in Statistics and Operations Research from the Free University of Brussels (1989). His expertise spans European logistics, supply chain strategy, and horizontal collaboration.

Professional roles include: Director/Partner at KPMG (post-1997), CEO of the Flanders Institute of Logistics (2003–2008), and founder/CEO of TRI-VIZOR (a supply chain optimization firm). He also developed the International Master in Global Supply Chain Management at Antwerp Management School (since 2012).

Board memberships include WDP (listed real estate company) and a stock-market listed semi-industrial real estate firm. Previously served on the SCOR Technical Development Steering Committee of the Supply Chain Council (USA, 2004–2007).
