Dr. Alex Richard Cook is a Professor and Vice Dean (Research) at the National University of Singapore's Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health. He holds joint appointments at the Department of Statistics and Applied Probability (Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine) and the Program in Health Services and Systems Research (Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School). His research focuses on infectious disease modelling, chronic disease epidemiology, and health policy analysis. He has led multidisciplinary teams integrating statistics, computational biology, and environmental science to address public health challenges.
Education: PhD in Statistics (Heriot-Watt University, UK; research conducted at Biomathematics and Statistics Scotland), BSc (Hons) in Statistics (Heriot-Watt University, UK).
