Alex Nickson

Alex Nickson is an Adjunct Professor in the Music Industry program at the University of Southern California (USC). She is also a prominent industry professional, currently serving as Senior Vice President of Television Music for DreamWorks Animation, where she has led the musical creative direction for over 20 series across platforms like Netflix, Apple TV+, and Amazon since 2013.

  At DreamWorks, she oversees music for series such as Madagascar: A Little Wild and Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous. Prior to this, she managed music for Freeform’s TV series and founded their Persimmon Grove Music A&R division, while also coordinating soundtracks for films like The Devil Wears Prada and Transformers.
