Alex Meadows

Alex Meadows is an Associate Professor and Department Chair of Mathematics at St. Mary's College of Maryland. He holds a B.A. from Williams College (1996) and Ph.D. from Stanford University (2002), specializing in geometric analysis and combinatorial game theory. His research examines minimal surfaces, PDEs, and mathematical game theory through collaborations with undergraduate researchers.

Research spans geometric analysis of minimal surfaces (including soap film configurations) and combinatorial games like Chomp. Recent publications analyze solution structures in semilinear elliptic equations and strategy in mathematical games. His work with students has appeared in the College Mathematics Journal and Integers.
