Alex Klein-Paste

Professor Alex Klein-Paste is affiliated with NTNU’s Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, specializing in winter maintenance of roads and airports. His research focuses on snow/ice friction, salting techniques, and snow plowing, with a particular emphasis on ensuring traffic safety in cold climates. He leads NTNU SnowLab, a specialized facility supporting snow engineering research and education at all academic levels.

He teaches courses including TBM4280 Road and Transport Planning and BA6061 Road Maintenance and Operations.
