Alessandro Travaglini

Alessandro Travaglini is a researcher and academic at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, holding a Biological Sciences degree from University of Rome 'La Sapienza' (1986). He specializes in Phytogeography and Aerobiological Monitoring, teaching within the Ecology course. His research focuses on vegetation studies, pollen analysis, ecological restoration, and forensic botany. Since 2001, he has been a confirmed researcher in the Bio/02 sector.

• Lead the Aerobiological Monitoring Center at Tor Vergata (1996), coordinating Rome's pollen monitoring network.
• Scientific coordinator of the LIFE RICOPRI project (grassland restoration in Lazio/Basilicata).
• Contributed to vegetation restoration projects on Ventotene Island and Simbruini Mountains.

Member of the Italian Botanical Society and Italian Aerobiological Association, with roles in academic committees and national monitoring initiatives. Developed a pollen bulletin webpage for allergy sufferers (2000) and created a database for botanical garden collections (1997).
