Alessandro Sardone is a Lecturer in the Department of Economics and Management at the University of Trento. His doctoral studies are jointly conducted at IWH and Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg.
His research focuses on environmental macroeconomics, monetary/fiscal policy design, and economic forecasting. Recent work explores inflation dynamics in the Euro Zone, green transition policy trade-offs, and sectoral inflation responses to monetary policy. His 2024 paper in Empirica re-examined Phillips Curve dynamics to explain post-crisis inflation puzzles, while his IWH working paper proposes asymmetric monetary policy targeting for clean/dirty sectors.
Professional activities include organizing the IWH-CIREQ-GW-BOKERI Macroeconometric Workshop and presenting at major conferences like AERE and EEA Congress. Teaching responsibilities include courses at the University of Trento.
