Alessandro Mattoccia

Alessandro Mattoccia is currently serving as an Adjunct Professor at IE School of Architecture and Design, where he teaches courses in Architectural Geometry and Applied Mathematics in Architecture. He also holds the position of Co-Director at Structuralia for the Master program in BIM and Smart Buildings, and serves as Professor for Programming applied to BIM at various institutions.

He specializes in advanced modeling techniques, process automation, and data-informed geometry, combining programming expertise with architectural drafting to push the digital boundaries of design. His work particularly emphasizes sustainable strategies and energy modeling at both building and urban scales.

His research extends to exploring vernacular architecture through information technology lenses, and he has contributed to urban-scale projects at IAAC, focusing on sustainable architectural prototypes through energy modeling approaches.
