Alessandro Gomez

Alessandro Gomez is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Yale University and Director of the Yale Center for Combustion Studies. He holds a Ph.D. from Princeton University (1986) and has been at Yale since 1985, contributing to research and teaching in combustion, fluid mechanics, and energy systems. His research focuses on soot formation in high-pressure flames, electrospray applications, and turbulence-chemistry interactions in combustion systems. Key funding sources include the NSF, Army Research Office, and Air Force Office of Scientific Research.
