Alessandro Chelli

Alessandro Chelli is a Full Professor at the University of Parma, affiliated with the College of Mathematical, Physical and Natural Sciences and Department of Earth Sciences. He holds a PhD in Applied Geology, Geomorphology, and Hydrogeology from the University of Perugia and has conducted extensive research in Northern Apennines and Ligurian coastal areas.

• Research Focus: Coastal plain evolution (Holocene sea-level changes), rocky coast morphodynamics, Roman-era geoarchaeology, and deep-seated gravitational slope deformations.
• Teaching: Offers courses in Applied Geomorphology, Geomorphology, and Risk Mitigation since 2007, including recent modules for undergraduate and graduate programs.
• Collaborations: Works with University of Pisa (Prof. Marta Pappalardo), Liguria Archaeology Authority (Dr. Lucia Gervasini), and University of Cologne (Prof. Helmut Brückner).
