Alessandro Bucciol

Alessandro Bucciol is a Full Professor of Econometrics at the University of Verona, serving as Head of the Department of Economics since 2024 and former Coordinator of the PhD Program in Economics and Finance (2021–2024). He holds a master's degree (2003) and PhD (2007) in Economics from the University of Padua. His research focuses on applied microeconometrics, behavioral economics, and public policy, with notable work on household financial decisions, environmental policies, and the economic impact of traumatic events.

He has taught courses in Econometrics and Financial Econometrics across multiple master’s programs and bachelor’s degrees. His research interests include panel data analysis, limited dependent variable models, and the economic implications of psychological factors. He leads the VELE (Verona Experimental Lab in Economics) and is affiliated with research centers like CRIEP and CIDE.

Recent publications highlight topics such as income expectations, dishonest behavior, and policy design for digital platforms. Bucciol has held adjunct roles at the University of Padua, Bocconi University, and IMT Lucca. His work bridges theoretical frameworks with empirical analysis, addressing real-world challenges in finance, environmental sustainability, and public welfare.
