Alessandra Minotto

Alessandra Minotto is a Research Fellow at the Department of Humanities, Ca' Foscari University of Venice, specializing in medieval landscape history and cultural heritage. She contributes to the Venezia Libro Aperto (VeLA) project with a focus on prosopography and Venetian society. Her work bridges archival studies, environmental history, and historical geography.

Her research examines medieval rural landscapes and environmental resource management in Venice and the Veneto region, using court records, monastic archives, and historical maps. She investigates border disputes, community governance, and cultural perceptions of lagoon ecosystems.

Minotto collaborates with research groups including the Italian Society for Environmental History (SISAm) and the Center for Anthropological, Geographical and Historical Research (AGeS). She has presented at international conferences on topics like waterscape heritage and medieval viticulture.
