Alessandra Mancino is a researcher at the National Research Council (CNR) - Institute for Research on Innovation and Services for Development (IRISS) since 2002. She earned her degree in Economics and Commerce with honors in 1995 from the University of Naples Federico II and completed her PhD in Business Economics and Corporate Governance in 2000 at the University of Naples Parthenope.
Her scientific work focuses on the competitiveness of SMEs, entrepreneurship, resource-based local development, rural development, and agricultural multifunctionality. She has contributed to international and national research projects such as MedMySea, DIVINO, Neoluoghi, and QUARC Innovation Campus, emphasizing sustainable development and innovation in tourism, agrifood systems, and ecological transition.
Her publications span journals like the International Journal of Business and Globalization and The Services Industries Journal, as well as conference proceedings (Atlas Annual Conference, IASK Conference, RENT Conference) and book chapters. She also participated in the Green Blue Lab, Show Knowledge in Progress, CALL Living Lab, and Sustainable Logistics Workshop.
