Alessandra D'Angelo

Alessandra D’Angelo is a Lecturer in Obstetrical-Gynecological Nursing Sciences at both G. D’Annunzio University (Chieti-Pescara) and the International University Unicamillus Roma. She holds positions in the Midwifery Bachelor’s Degree programs and the Critical Area Master’s Degree. Additionally, she serves as an independent midwife and IBCLC lactation consultant in Abruzzo, Italy.

Her research interests focus on maternal breastfeeding practices, midwifery care standards, and healthcare education. She has contributed to national guidelines and position statements through her role at the Royal College of Midwives in London. Professional activities include training for IBCLCs and Physical Education Doctors, alongside board memberships in organizations like AICPAM and SIRONG.

She previously worked in London as a midwife coordinator, researcher, and consultant for quality assurance in midwifery care, emphasizing evidence-based practices.
