Alessandra Ballotti is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Centre for Ibsen Studies (University of Oslo). Her research focuses on Scandinavian literature from the 19th century to today, emphasizing cultural transfers and European reception of Scandinavian authors. She holds a PhD in Comparative Literature from the University of Haute Alsace (2015–2018) and has held academic positions including Associate Professor of Nordic Studies at Sorbonne University (2022–present) and Senior Lecturer roles at Sorbonne and University of Haute Alsace (2018–2022).
Research Projects:
- Lead researcher in the ScanDigiLit (Marie-Curie) project analyzing Italian-French discourse on Scandinavian culture (1870–1914).
- Co-author of Scandinavie, un voyage magnétique (2023), a visual exploration of Scandinavian cultural landscapes.
- Published An Immature Hero (2023) on coming-of-age narratives in Scandinavian and Italian literature.
