Alessandra BUCOSSI

Alessandra Bucossi is an Associate Professor at Ca' Foscari University of Venice, affiliated with the Department of Humanities. She serves as Rector's Delegate for Ca' Foscari Active Teaching Laboratories (CLab) and New International Teaching Experiments. Her expertise lies in Byzantine Studies, focusing on philology, religious history, and the medieval schism between Eastern and Western Churches.

She teaches courses on Byzantine civilization, medieval history, and Greek paleography. Notable research projects include 'Diplomacy, Rhetoric and Pragmatism' (funded by MUR) and participation in the PNRR_CHANGES project. She is a member of editorial boards for journals like Journal of Byzantine Studies and the Alterum Byzantium Series.

Her research spans critical editions of theological texts, patristic anthology analysis, and the Filioque controversy. She has published extensively on medieval polemical authors and authored/co-authored volumes such as Dialogi sex de processione Spiritus Sancti and Contra Latinos et Adversus Graecos.
