Aleksandra Ristić is an Associate Professor and Chairman of the Department of Solo-Singing at the Faculty of Music Arts, University of Belgrade. She also serves as a visiting professor at the Faculty of Arts in Kosovska Mitrovica and the Music Academy in Sarajevo since 2010. Her expertise lies in vocal performance, with a focus on opera and classical singing.
Education: She graduated and earned her MA degree in mezzo-soprano performance at the Faculty of Music Arts in Belgrade under Prof. Irina Ariskin.
Research/Performance Interests: She specializes in solo recitals, operatic roles (e.g., Santuca in Mascagni’s Cavalleria Rusticana), and ethno-cultural projects like Balkan 2000 with composer Aleksandar Sanja Ilić. Her performances span Serbia, Montenegro, Italy, Great Britain, Greece, Austria, Switzerland, and Hungary.
Awards: Recipient of the “Best Representative of Serbian Culture” award in Bern (2004) and multiple accolades from national and federal competitions for young opera artists.
Collaborations: Active with orchestras such as the Symphony Orchestra of Serbian Army Stanislav Binički, Niš Symphony Orchestra, and ensembles like Trio Anima (since 2003). She has recorded arias for National Theatres in Belgrade, Niš, and Puppet Theatre, as well as for Radio Television Serbia and other regional stations.
