Aleksandra Borek

Aleksandra Borek, Ph.D./Assistant Professor is a researcher at SWPS University's Institute of Psychology and member of the CARE-BEH Center for Applied Research on Health Behavior and Health. She specializes in health psychology, focusing on behavior change mechanisms, qualitative methodologies, and implementation science to improve health behaviors.

• Education: BA in Sociology (University of York, UK), PhD in Health Psychology (University of Exeter, Faculty of Medicine)

Her research program at SWPS targets prudent antibiotic use and antimicrobial resistance prevention in Poland, funded by the Polish Returns Program (NAWA) and National Science Centre (NCN). She previously spent seven years at the University of Oxford's Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences on interdisciplinary antibiotic optimization projects.

Methodologically, she employs qualitative research, surveys, systematic reviews, and stakeholder networks to address health behavior determinants in primary care antibiotic use.
