About
Alejandro Pomarol Clotet is a Professor in the Department of Physics at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), affiliated with the Grup de Recerca de Física Teòrica and IFAE. He holds a PhD in Physics from UAB (1991) and a degree in Theoretical Physics from Universitat de Barcelona (1987). His research focuses on particle physics, theoretical physics, and cosmology, with emphasis on the Standard Model, supersymmetry, Higgs physics, and early universe dynamics. He has held CERN Fellowships (1994–2000) and postdoctoral positions at UC Santa Cruz and UPenn.
Key research interests include electroweak precision tests, supercooling mechanisms in cosmology, and high-energy diboson processes. His work spans 86 publications and contributions to major projects like Física de les interaccions fonamentals. He has advised 5 supervised works and contributed to interdisciplinary projects at the intersection of particle physics and cosmology.
Recent articles explore topics such as the electron electric dipole moment, holographic transitions, and supercooled universe models. His research bridges theoretical frameworks with experimental implications in high-energy physics and cosmology.
