Alejandro López Moreno is an Assistant Researcher (tenure track) at IMDEA Nanoscience since January 2021, focusing on the Chemistry of Low-Dimensional Materials. His academic journey includes a BSc (2011) from Universidad de Salamanca, MSc (2014) from UNED, and a Ph.D. (2017). He has held postdoctoral positions at Kyoto University (JSPS fellowship) and CIQUS (Santiago de Compostela), researching supramolecular chemistry and carbon nanostructures.
His research interests span nanomaterial synthesis, functionalization of carbon nanostructures, and controlled assembly in complex systems. He leads the Chemistry of Low-Dimensional Materials group and holds a prestigious Juan de la Cierva fellowship (2019). Current work is conducted under Prof. Emilio M. Pérez’s supervision at IMDEA’s advanced nanofabrication facilities.
