Alejandro Giorgetti is a Full Professor of Biochemistry at the University of Verona's Department of Biotechnology since 2018. He holds a Bachelor's in Physics from Universidad Nacional del Sur (Argentina) and a Ph.D. in Physical and Statistical Biology from SISSA (Trieste, Italy). His research focuses on protein structural bioinformatics, computational biophysics, and understanding molecular mechanisms of membrane receptors. He leads the 'Laboratory of Applied Bioinformatics' and collaborates with the Forschungszentrum Jülich. He is an editorial board member of Scientific Reports.
