Dr Aled Singleton is an Honorary Research Fellow in Geography at Swansea University's School of Biosciences, Geography and Physics, affiliated with the Faculty of Science and Engineering. He holds fellowships from the Royal Geographical Society and the Higher Education Academy. His research focuses on emotional and affective attachments to place, urban policy, psychogeography, and walking methodologies. He has contributed to intergenerational climate research (e.g., the OPTIC project) and co-authored The Climate Comic, a collaborative climate engagement tool. His work bridges qualitative methods with creative practices, including film and performance.

Research interests include lifecourse narratives, lower-carbon fieldwork practices, and spatially-led interviews. He has published in GeoHumanities, Journal of Global Ageing, and Visual Studies, exploring topics like AI-guided urban exploration and climate comic methodology.
Teaching spans undergraduate and postgraduate modules in sustainable development, globalization, and qualitative methods. He advises on fieldtrip carbon reduction strategies and has collaborated with NHS mental health trusts evaluating walking therapy services.
