Alechia Van Wyk

Alechia Van Wyk is a Senior Lecturer in Cardiac Physiology at Middlesex University's Faculty of Science and Technology, Department of Natural Sciences. As Programme Leader for the MSc in Cardiology, she oversees curriculum development and supervises postgraduate research.

Her research spans cardiorespiratory diagnostics, clinical trials, exercise physiology, and sports rehabilitation. Recent publications focus on cardiac monitoring technologies and rehabilitation methodologies.

She supervises doctoral candidate Jim Jackson and teaches modules including Cardiac Ultrasound, Cardiopulmonary Exercise Testing, and Professional Practice across undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
