Alec Stubbs

Alec Stubbs is an Assistant Professor at Northeastern University Oakland, where he serves as the Politics, Philosophy, and Economics (PPE) Program Coordinator. He is affiliated with the College of Social Sciences and Humanities and holds a PhD from Loyola University Chicago (2022).

• Research Focus: Social and political philosophy, continental philosophy, existentialism, philosophy of technology, economic democracy, and labor justice.
• Current Projects: Exploring a secular conception of the sacred, its role in solidarity, and implications for post-capitalist politics.

Teaching Philosophy: Guided by Ignatian pedagogical principles, critical pedagogy, and transformative learning, he emphasizes philosophy as a way of life.
