Dr. Alec Dauncey is an Honorary Lecturer at Bangor University's School of Environmental and Natural Sciences. He holds a PhD in Forestry Policy (2016) and a BSc in Forestry (1981) from the University of Wales. His career spans over three decades in forestry policy, management, and governance, with significant roles in the UK Government's Defra, Forestry Commission, and Welsh Government.
