Alcides A. Monteiro

Alcides A. Monteiro is a Full Professor in the Department of Sociology at the University of Beira Interior (UBI), Portugal. He is affiliated with the CIES-UBI Research Center and serves as course director for Migration and Integration Challenges, Migration and Interculturality, and Sociology programs. His research focuses on social economy, social innovation, migration, and gender equality within organizational contexts. Key projects include the Socio Digital Laboratory for Public Policy (Ongoing) and studies on local development indicators. He teaches advanced sociological theory courses and supervises thesis research.
