Alberto Martinez

Dr. Alberto Martínez is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry at New York City College of Technology (CUNY), affiliated with the School of Arts & Sciences. He holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Barcelona (2005), complemented by postdoctoral training at Brooklyn College (2006-2012) and Virginia Commonwealth University (2010-2011).

His research program focuses on:

• Developing organometallic antimalarial agents, particularly ruthenium-chloroquine hybrids
