Alberto BARSELLA

Alberto BARSELLA is an Assistant Professor at the University of Strasbourg, affiliated with the Institute of Physics and Chemistry of Materials Strasbourg (IPCMS). His research focuses on ultrafast optics and nanophotonics, particularly the nonlinear optical properties of organic molecules and polymer thin films.

His research interests include:

• Investigation of photopatterning for optically-pumped organic DFB lasers
• Near-field optical scanning microscopy
• Real-time holographic microscopy of photostructured polymer films
• Development of nonlinear optical materials for photonic applications

Alberto BARSELLA has published extensively on topics such as azo dyes, push-pull systems, and charge-transfer chromophores, with recent work emphasizing photophysical properties and theoretical modeling of organic materials for optical sensing and nonlinear optics.

He has been involved in teaching classical mechanics, wave optics, and scientific Python programming at the university level.
