Albert Miró i Rovira is a Lecturer and PhD Candidate in the Department of Chemical Engineering at NTNU. He holds a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from NTNU (2019–2021) and a Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering from the University of Barcelona (2015–2019). His research focuses on biomass-to-aviation fuel conversion, specifically catalyst synthesis, characterization, and hydrodeoxygenation of pyrolysis oil. He has published in Catalysis Today, Chemical Engineering Journal, and Applied Materials Today.
Teaching roles:
- Lecturer for TKP4515 Catalysis (Fall 2022–present)
- Teaching Assistant for Chemical Reaction Engineering, Process Operation and Safety, and Chemical Engineering labs
His research combines catalytic processes with biomass conversion, emphasizing carbon-carbon coupling, oxygen vacancy effects, and catalyst poisoning mechanisms. Outreach includes presentations at the Nordic Symposium on Catalysis and EuropaCat conferences.
