Albert Joseph Feilzer

Prof. Albert Joseph Feilzer is a Visiting Professor at the Academic Centre for Dentistry Amsterdam (ACTA), affiliated with the Reconstructive Oral Care department. His research focuses on adverse reactions of biomaterials in dental applications, implants, and cosmetics, with active involvement in regulatory standards via ISO and national expert roles. He teaches dental materials science and clinical dentistry at ACTA.

Feilzer’s editorial roles include serving as associate editor for American Journal of Dentistry and Odontology. He contributes to international standards through ISO TC 106, SC2, WG 19. His work bridges clinical practice and materials science, emphasizing safety and regulatory compliance.

Research interests span biomaterials safety, dental materials innovation, and translational applications. His publications analyze material interactions with human tissues, cytotoxicity, additive manufacturing in dentistry, and clinical cementation techniques.

Feilzer has supervised 30 PhD theses and remains active in teaching and clinical referrals for adverse reactions to medical devices and cosmetics.
