Albert A Cheng

Albert A Cheng is an Associate Professor in the Department of Education Reform at the University of Arkansas, part of the College of Education and Health Professions. He teaches courses in education policy and philosophy and directs the Classical Education Research Lab. He holds a PhD in Education Policy (2016) from the University of Arkansas, an MA in Education (2012) from Biola University, and a BA in Pure Mathematics (2006) from the University of California, Berkeley. Previously, he taught high school math in California and earned a teaching credential.

His research focuses on school choice policies, homeschooling outcomes, classical education, and educational equity. He is a Senior Fellow at Cardus and an affiliated researcher at Harvard’s Program on Education Policy and Governance. He serves on the board of Anthem Classical Academy and the editorial board of the International Journal of Christianity and Education.
