Alba Abras Feliu

Alba Abras Feliu is a Lecturer in the Genetics Area of the Department of Biology at the University of Girona (UdG). She previously served as an Associate Professor (2015-16) and Ordinary Researcher (2020-2022) in the same department. She is affiliated with the Genetic Ichthyology Laboratory (LIG) research group and has 10 years of university teaching experience.

Her research focuses on using molecular markers to analyze genetic diversity in fish species of economic interest and their parasites, contributing to conservation biology and population genetics. She has co-authored two book chapters, 23 indexed journal articles, and a teaching guide.

She has presented her research at over 30 congresses and conferences. Her work integrates molecular biology tools with ecological and fisheries science applications.

Alba Abras Feliu is actively involved with the Genetic Ichthyology Laboratory research group, where she applies genetic methodologies to aquatic species and parasite studies.
