Alastair Masser

Dr. Alastair Masser is a Visiting Research Fellow at the Department of War Studies, King's College London (School of Security Studies). He holds a PhD focused on UK-Nigerian security cooperation against Boko Haram and lectures at the UK Ministry of Defence's Joint Services Command Staff College (JSCSC) at Shrivenham. As co-director of the Africa Research Group, he specializes in security policy in post-conflict regions, with research interests spanning UK foreign policy, Islamist movements, climate conflict, and refugee issues.
