Alan Schreck

Dr. Alan Schreck is Franciscan University's longest-serving professor, having taught theology for 44 years. He holds a Professor rank and has contributed extensively to the university's growth, including developing the MA Theology Program and founding the Defending the Faith Conference. His work integrates Franciscan charism with spiritual renewal, emphasizing theology, church history, and apologetics. He authored 16 books, including the bestseller Catholic and Christian.

Education: Graduated from Notre Dame; pursued advanced studies in Scripture and Church history. Research focuses on spiritual renewal movements, particularly the intersection of Franciscan traditions and modern charismatic renewal.
