Dr Alan Roe is a Senior Lecturer (Teaching and Scholarship) in the People, Work and Employment Department at Leeds University Business School, part of the University of Leeds. He joined the institution in 2014 after extensive experience in industry, trade union education, and union learning initiatives. He currently serves as Head of Year for Undergraduate students.
Qualifications include a PhD and MA in Industrial Relations. Professional memberships span organizations such as the British Sociological Association (BSA), British Universities Industrial Relations Association (BUIRA), and Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).
His research focuses on employment relations, organizational practices, and workplace dynamics. He supervises postgraduate researcher Kai Zhao and contributes to the Centre for Employment Relations, Innovation and Change (CERIC).
