Alan Nguyen

Dr. Alan Nguyen is a Lecturer in the School of Media & Communication at RMIT University. His work spans TV, streaming, live performance, and emerging technologies like AI, VR, and AR. He focuses on transdisciplinary projects to promote well-being, education, and social connection through storytelling and technology. Notable projects include the VR documentary BeeScapes (People's Choice Award 2022), the Melodic Motions research project co-designing tools for dancers with intellectual disabilities, and the Eat Move Heal initiative addressing Long COVID-19 recovery.

Research interests include scriptwriting, filmmaking, extended reality, documentary, educational games, and the metaverse. He has delivered presentations at international conferences in Japan, Singapore, and Korea. Awards include nominations for the AACTA and AWGIE Awards for his work on Hungry Ghosts.
