Alan Morrison is the Intesa Sanpaolo Professor of Business, Ethics, and Finance at the University of Oxford's Saïd Business School and a Fellow of Merton College. A former investment banker, his research examines business ethics, organizational identity, and regulation.
His work explores how individuals navigate organizational roles, the nature of corporate agency, and regulatory frameworks for market economies. Recent publications analyze moral responsibility in organizations, gendered speech patterns in finance, and corporate human rights obligations.
Morrison teaches governance and ethics across Oxford's MBA, EMBA, MFE, and MLF programs. He serves on editorial boards including Business Ethics Quarterly and co-convenes the R:ETRO seminar series on reputation and ethics.
