Alan Manning is a Professor of Economics at the London School of Economics (LSE) and Director of the Community Programme at the Centre for Economic Performance (CEP). He holds a DPhil in Economics from the University of Oxford and a BA (Hons) in Economics from the University of Cambridge. His research focuses on labour markets, monopsony, minimum wages, immigration, and gender wage gaps, with a particular emphasis on the structural and policy implications of imperfect competition in labour markets.
