Alain Geffard

Alain Geffard is a researcher at the University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne's UMR-I 02 SEBIO (Environmental Stress and BIOmonitoring of aquatic environments) unit. He holds authorization to direct research and is affiliated with the College of Exact and Natural Sciences at the Moulin de la Housse Campus.

• Specializes in toxic effects of emerging contaminants (chemical and biological) on aquatic organisms
• Develops bioassays using caged Dreissena polymorpha for water quality monitoring
• Collaborates with INERIS and INARe in Lyon

Managed key projects including INTERREG DIADeM (2016-2020), ANR MOBIDIC (2015-2020), and EQUAL (2016-2020, Rhine-Meuse Water Agency). Focus areas include energy/metabolism axis, virus interactions, chemical contaminants, and behavioral biomarkers in aquatic species.
