Akash Kapur is a Visiting Research Scholar and Lecturer at Princeton University's M.S. Chadha Center for Global India, where he focuses on digital public infrastructure (DPI) and its intersections with artificial intelligence. He co-taught a course on DPI at Princeton and examines global dissemination of technology governance frameworks for digital identity, payments, and data exchange.
Kapur also serves as a Senior Fellow at The GovLab (NYU) and New America. His research addresses data policy, Internet governance, global AI governance frameworks, and technology implementation in developing economies. He has consulted for UNDP and written extensively on technology and society for publications including The New Yorker, New York Times, and Wall Street Journal.
