Ajay Kathuria

Dr. Ajay Kathuria is a tenured Associate Professor in the Industrial Technology and Packaging Department at California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly), San Luis Obispo, where he teaches courses including Packaging Polymers and Processing, Packaging Fundamentals, and Packaging Quality Assessment. Previously, he served as an Assistant Professor in the University of Wisconsin system.

He earned his M.S. and Ph.D. in Packaging Science from Michigan State University, East Lansing, MI. His research program focuses on sustainable materials development through Materials Chemistry and Green Chemistry, with specialized expertise in Biodegradable Polymers, Nanomaterials, Composites, and Host-Guest Complexes for advanced packaging applications.

Dr. Kathuria's scholarly work appears in interdisciplinary journals such as Environmental Chemistry Letters, Green Chemistry, Polymer, and Trends in Food Science and Technology, reflecting his contributions to polymer science, environmental chemistry, and food packaging technology.
