Aimée Joyce

Dr Aimée Joyce is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Social Anthropology at the University of St Andrews, School of Philosophical, Anthropological and Film Studies. Her research focuses on borderlands, trauma, material culture, and post-conflict societies, particularly in Eastern Europe.

Research Interests include Polish-Belarusian frontier studies, hauntology, Holocaust memory, and religious pluralism. Her work explores the interplay between materiality and silence in post-conflict contexts, as well as everyday border dynamics and displacement histories.
