Aimee Williamson

Aimee Williamson, PhD, is the Chair and Professor in the Department of Public Service and Healthcare Administration at Suffolk University. Her research focuses on public management, public-private collaboration, administrative reform, and pedagogical strategies in higher education. She holds a PhD from the University of Colorado Denver, an MPA from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs, and a BA from the University of Notre Dame.

Williamson’s practical experience includes roles in criminal justice reform and child advocacy, such as founding the Gateway Through the Rockies Program (a work-release initiative) and serving as Research Analyst at the Colorado Children’s Campaign. At Suffolk, she teaches courses like PAD201: Social Change and PAD711: Foundations of Public Administration and Service.

Her recent work explores accountability mechanisms in decentralized budgeting, corporate social responsibility in healthcare policy, and the redesign of course evaluation instruments. She serves on the Editorial Board of the American Review of Public Administration and actively engages with local healthcare and disability organizations.
