Aimee George is an Instructor of Art at James Madison University (JMU) since 2024, affiliated with the School of Art, Design and Art History. She holds an MFA in Photography from JMU (concentration in photography) and a BFA from Shepherd University. Her expertise spans Alternative/Historic photographic processes, Black & White film photography, digital photography, videography, and printmaking. She integrates sustainable organic, plant-based techniques into her artistic research and pedagogy.
George teaches at multiple institutions, including the University of Mary Washington, Shenandoah University, and community colleges. Beyond art, she is a yoga teacher and Ayurvedic counselor, blending these practices into her art education and creative work. She operates Studio Silver in Edinburg, Virginia, a multifaceted space combining art, wellness, and community engagement.
