Aiham Qdaisat

Aiham Qdaisat, MD, MS, MPH, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, Texas. He holds dual appointments in both the Department of Emergency Medicine and the Division of Internal Medicine.

His research focuses on oncologic emergencies, including hyperviscosity syndrome, immune checkpoint inhibitor toxicity, and thromboembolic events in cancer patients. He investigates the intersection of emergency medicine and oncology, with particular emphasis on geriatric cancer care, ED boarding time, and symptom severity as prognostic indicators. His work spans clinical studies on CAR-T cell therapy complications, bispecific antibody toxicity, and the impact of advanced care planning in oncology emergencies.

Recent publications analyze trends in emergency department utilization by cancer patients, VTE risk factors, and cardiovascular complications from immunotherapy.
