Aidan Walsh is a Lecturer in the Department of Management and Organisation at RIKON, South East Technological University. He holds a PhD (2023) investigating competencies for managing lean projects in Irish hospitals, an MSc in Total Quality Management (1999), and a BSc in Business and Finance (1997).
His research focuses on healthcare management, lean practices, organizational development, and entrepreneurial universities. Key areas include value-based healthcare implementation, cultural change in organizations, and knowledge transfer mechanisms. Walsh critiques traditional lean methodologies and explores evolving structures in higher education institutions.
His work has been published in journals like International Journal of Organizational Analysis and Total Quality Management and Business Excellence, with notable contributions to TQM philosophy and hospital management competency frameworks.
Walsh currently accepts PhD students and has contributed to Scopus-indexed research with over 125 citations. His research collaborations include projects with leading academics in organizational analysis and healthcare systems.
