Ahmet Doğan ERGİN

Ahmet Doğan ERGİN is an Associate Professor at Trakya University's Faculty of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmaceutical Technology. He served as Vice Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy from 2020 to 2024 and previously led the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology (2020-2023). His academic journey includes a PhD from Ankara University (2019) and postdoctoral research at the University of Turin, Italy (2022-2023).

His research focuses on nanotechnology-based drug delivery systems, particularly SAMe and coenzyme Q10 formulations, with emphasis on enhancing bioavailability and targeted delivery. He has authored over 20 SCI-indexed articles and edited sections in books on Quality by Design (QbD) principles for parenteral and topical formulations.

Key awards include the 2023 Trakya University Scientific Publication Award. He teaches advanced courses in nanotechnology, regulatory affairs, and pharmaceutical technology, and advises master's theses in nanoparticle drug delivery systems.

His work spans colonic targeting nanocarriers, mitochondria-targeted nanotherapy, and cytotoxic activity evaluations in hepatic cancer models. He maintains active collaborations in drug formulation optimization and safety profiling through in vitro/in vivo studies.
