Ahmed Ozsever is an Assistant Professor of Creative Core (Foundations) at the Eskenazi School of Art, Architecture and Design at Indiana University. His interdisciplinary art practice focuses on installation, time-based media, sculpture, and photography, exploring human intervention in landscapes, temporalities, and the intersections between geologic time, capital cycles, and everyday experiences.
Education: BFA from Herron School of Art and Design (Indiana University Indianapolis) and MFA from Cornell University.
Research interests: Landscapes reshaped by coal mining/transportation infrastructure, hidden histories, and the human traces in domestic and industrial spaces. His work bridges geologic time, capital cycles, and human occupation patterns.
Exhibitions: Featured in venues such as South Bend Museum of Art, Indiana State Museum, Loyola Marymount University, Terrain Biennial, and Site109 (NYC). Public artworks include installations at Hapgood-Wright Forest (Concord, MA).
Awards: ACRE Resident (2017), CORE Artist in Residence (Chicago Art Department, 2018).
Labs/Teams: Based in Bloomington, Indiana, actively engaged in collaborative art projects and residencies.
