Ahmed El-Sayed Abdel Meguid

Ahmed El-Sayed Abdel Meguid is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Philosophy, The American University in Cairo (AUC), Egypt. He earned his BA from AUC and his MA and PhD in philosophy at Emory University. He has lectured at prestigious institutions such as Harvard, Yale, and Oxford, and was recently a fellow of the Center for Ethics at the University of Toronto.

His research integrates Islamic and German philosophy, focusing on metaphysics, epistemology, philosophy of mind, and social/political philosophy. His work spans classical/post-classical Islamic thought, modern German philosophy (notably Kant and Husserl), and interdisciplinary intersections with gender studies and phenomenology.
